Remember: When Selling Your Home Disconnect Your Emotions!

For-Sale_June_Watson_Sold-Sign.jpgWhen I talk to you about buying real estate, I will always refer to it as purchasing a "home" but when I talk to you about selling your property, I will refer to it as selling your "house."

Buying real estate is often an emotional decision. Often you will know within a few moments of arriving at a place whether or not it feels like home to you. Many times this is because the seller has wisely removed their own personality from the premises and created a spacial-canvas for you to imprint with your own vision!

However, when selling real estate, you need to remove your emotions from the equation to ensure that your property will sell. You need to think of your house as a marketable commodity. Simply Property. Just Real estate.

Your goal is to get others to see it as their potential home, not yours. If you do not consciously make this decision, you can inadvertently create a situation where it takes longer to sell your property.

As your REALTOR® I will take plenty of time to talk you through this process and help you present your house in a way that will appeal to the largest number of home buyers.
